Pierre's active involvement on both the City's Public Safety Commission and the Asian American Quality of Life Commission, along with ACC's Emergency Management Advisory Board, CapMetro's Equitable Transit-Oriented Development (ETOD), and USCG Federal Asian Pacific Advisory Council (FAPAC) has given him a deep understanding of the issues facing our community.

My Story

As the son of Vietnamese refugees, My upbringing instilled in me a deep appreciation for the country that adopted my parents. This profound gratitude propelled me into a career dedicated to giving back to the community that welcomed my family. My own service journey began with my volunteer efforts, particularly in disaster-stricken areas, and working for a nonprofit organization here in Austin. Witnessing the resilience of communities in times of crisis, I developed a profound sense of duty to contribute to the betterment of society.

Why Campaign?

Drawing from my experiences as a volunteer, nonprofit worker, and Coast Guard member, I am compelled in taking the next step in my journey of public service by running for office as a candidate for Austin City Council in District 7, representing North Central Austin. Recognizing the importance of active civic participation, I continue to serve on various commissions focused on public safety, Asian American quality of life, and public transportation. With my deep understanding of community needs and my unwavering commitment to serving others, I seek to bring my experience, empathy, and fresh perspective to the table.
